Aastha is a Mumbai-based illustrator and painter, inspired by people and everyday experiences around her. A true survivalist, she can create in any condition, and her free spirit reflects in an artistic practice she often reserves as a deeply personal visual language. She explores multiple mediums, including printmaking, ceramics, canvas, appliqué, and collage. She enjoys documenting her daily artistic practice and sharing insights from her creative process. Aastha began her artistic journey at Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from J.J. Institute of Applied Art (2011), Mumbai, India, and a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from M.S. University of Baroda (2013), Gujarat, India. As an illustrator, she has worked with Adobe, Verve Magazine, Uniball, Miss India, and under Bombay Duck Design's illustration projects she has worked for Godrej, Soda Films and more. Alongside her illustration practice, Aastha has worked as a designer and creative director in corporate spaces, including Mango, Insider and The Times of India. She has also led international pageant training programs and worked closely on direction and social media for the Miss India organization, gaining extensive experience in the fashion and glamour industry over the years. She is currently working on launching her own brand in the Indian retail market with collaborators and is keeping things under wraps for now, saving the surprise for its official launch.
